      Planning/Design/Field Engineer/Idaho                                                        1/10 – 1/12

·         Provide contracted OSP engineering services to Qwest Communications in Idaho. Planner-FTTN work, analyze network for fiber needs, research existing network facilities. Field & Design engineer- Develop detailed engineering drawings for construction of the OSP network including underground, buried and aerial plant. Provide detailed field notes associated with overall serving area requirements. Liaison to community, permit applications, and Construction Inspector. Certified Qwest OSP instructor.

 

       RESOURCE RECYCLING TECHNOLOGIES NORTH AMERICA LLC          8/06 – 10/09

      Regional Planning Manager

·         Meet with potential partnering nationwide telecommunications companies for initial analysis of their network to identify non working/under utilized copper facilities and target for   

extraction and recycling.          

      Regional project management responsibilities for 16 Planning Engineers in four states to ensure accurate planning of existing assets in the RBOC’s networks that enabled mutual construction commitments to be met on time.

      Recruiting and training of new employees.

Strategic resource allocation of employees to maintain schedules for cable extraction    resulting in financial benefits for RRT and the partner RBOC.

      Structural Access Engineer/Inspector

·         Providing contracted services to AT&T Communications as a Structural Access Engineer. Analyze CATV company engineering documents for aerial fiber build of new and existing overlay projects. Physically inspect completed cable company field work in the Northern California area for GO95 violations, proper grade, correct guying and pole wind/vertical load parameters. Interface with other utilities belonging to the Northern California Joint Pole Association. Create reports for corrective action and document CATV construction.

§167             Also held positions as Process Analyst, Associate Network OSP Engineer Program Manager, certified instructor of Qwest OSP design and data systems, Tactical Planner and Design Engineer with responsibility for production of physical plant in support of core customer services.

§167             Directed and developed an Intern program to recruit, hire, train, monitor and place all new Network Services Design Engineers throughout a 14 state serving area. 480 Associate Engineers placed over a two year period with an 89% retention rate and 100% customer satisfaction rate. Managed 3 SG5, 4 SG4 and 90 interns working two shifts.
